The Greatest Opera Cabaret of them All!

“Come to the Cabaret, ol’ Chum!” Duluth Festival Opera continues its six-year tradition of popular Opera Cabarets with the greatest and grandest Cabaret of them all! Opera Cabaret VI moves to Friday night, February 11, 2011 Valentine’s Day weekend, to be enjoyed in the beautiful Moorish Room at the Greysolon Ballroom Hotel. This year’s emphasis is on elegant full-course dining, romance and grandeur.

Be a Hero this Valentine’s Day!  Our musical theme, “Heroes and Heroines” will give our singers an opportunity to present some of the greatest opera and musical theatre selections of all time. This year’s Cabaret will also feature new games, fun events and chances for great prizes, not to mention some spectacular experiences for auction.

Comprising our super group of singers will be our saucy Musetta from our recent La Boheme, Amy Wolf; UMD graduate and Met Opera baritone, Nathan Herfindahl; tenor sensation and Puccini specialist, Jon Burton; musical theatre beauty, Sally Clayburn; and Texas dramatic soprano, Kirsten Hoiseth. They will raise the rafters with selections from Tosca, Carmen, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, Tannhauser, Les Mis, West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera, and many more.

If you have enjoyed our DFO productions and want to continue to support our company, then its time to Come to the Cabaret! If you love a good party and want to hear great singers up close and personal, then its time to  Come to the Cabaret!
